There is a CLI tool I use often to manipulate images, its name is Imagemagick. You can install it with any package management system you have depending of your OS. Here is a list of commands I use quite often when I need to edit some images. Make thumbnails ~ % convert -define jpeg:size=200x200 original.jpg -thumbnail 150x150^ -gravity center -extent 150x150 thumb.jpg Resize an image This command resizes the original image with a width of 1200 pixels and maintaining the aspect ratio.
I discovered Lichess one night coming back home late. I saw some guys playing chess on the pavement. After a quick chat with them they told me about Lichess and gave me their nicknames. The next morning the app was installed on my brand new Oneplus 6 back at that time. Since then I played 3451 games and 3201 rated games. I lost 1655 ones and won 1688. A lot of losts on 2 and 3 minutes blitz games where I need to play and make decision quicker.
2013 or 2014 was the year when I first time heard about him and I didn't have a clue who he was or what he was doing. I checked online and found out what kind of stand-up comedian Louis C.K was. I really loved his performances because he's the type of guy that says things that you should'nt say and that's exactly what make laugh everyone around you. He has some really raw jokes about masturbation and jerking off, gays, kids and a lot of other subjects that he knows to exploit to make them hilarious.
Finally, I ditched Writefreely, the fediverse blogging framework in favor of Hugo. why ? I love terminals and vim like … a lot ! I wanted something where I could use my beloved editor to write a post in Markdown, commit it and that could be automatically posted using a post-commit. Ideally, I wanted a thing that involves the fediverse to be able to get comments directly from Mastodon or Pleroma.
Got my ticket yesterday for the pgDay2020 that will be hosted in Paris the 26th march 2020. You can still get the ticket for cheap with the early code “BLIND” or “EARLYBIRD”. https://2020.pgday.paris/ You can follow them on Mastodon.
I stumbled upon Austin Kleon website and found quite interesting how creative you can be just using a marker and some newspaper. I'll post from time to time that kind of things :)
